Boron Carbide Powder

Boron Carbide is a high performance abrasive material with chemical and physical properties similar to diamonds (chemical resistance and hardness). It is so hard that is has been nicknamed "Black Diamond", and has become one of the leading grinding materials.  Ceramics grades as well as nuclear grades for neutron absorption are available.

Applications

  1. Grinding, lapping, polishing hard materials such as ceramics, glass, minerals.  It is used as a media for wire saw cutting machines, as well as in lapping slurries and compounds for the lapping and polishing industries.
  2. Hot pressing and sintering of the hard and abrasion resistant parts with super light weight.
