Aluminium Oxide Blasting Media

Aluminium Oxide

Has the characteristics of high hardness (second hardest mineral after diamond), sharpness, tenacity, stable chemical property, heat resisting and corrosion resisting. This sharp angular abrasive is fast cutting and is silica free. It gives a matte finish, or produces anchor patterns on most metal surfaces and can be used economically in a closed system blasting system.

Brown Aluminium Oxide

Electrically fused from a mixture of bauxite, coal and iron borings. It is brown, with great hardness and toughness. Bonded and coated abrasive products made of Brown Aluminium Oxide malleable iron and hardened bronze, etc. It also can be used as refractory material, chemical filler, precision casting and anti-slip material, etc.

White Aluminium Oxide

Electrically fused from Bayer alumina, white colour, its hardness is a little higher, but toughness slightly lower than that of Brown Aluminium Oxide used for fabrication of bonded and coated abrasive products for the grinding of the steels with great hardness, such as high carbon steel, alloy steel, and high speed steel. Its non-abrasive uses are precision casting moulding sand, spray coating material, catalyst carrier, high temperature ceramic, and super refractory material, etc.

Black Silicon Carbide C

Black silicon carbide is brittle and sharp. It has a good electrical and heat conductivity Knoop hardness is 3100-3280 kg/mm. Grinding wheels made of C are suitable for the grinding of metal and nonmetallic materials of low tensile strength such as grey cast iron, brass, aluminium, stone materials, leather and rubber etc. Moreover, it can also be used in the manufacture of refractory products and electric products etc.
